Attaching files in the mobile app (Android)

The mobile app supports the following methods for attaching files:

  • Selecting and attaching photos and videos
  • Take a Photo and Attach It
  • Capture and attach a document (with correction feature)
  • Capture and attach a video
  • Selecting files from the Files app and attaching them

This page describes the operations unique to mobile apps.

Capture and attach a document (with correction feature)

On the "Edit Record" screen, as an example.

  1. On the Record details screen, tap Edit.

  2. On the Edit record screen, tap Select file in the Attachment field.

  3. From the displayed menu, tap "Capture and Correct Document".

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and use your camera to take a picture of the document.

  5. If necessary, adjust the appearance of the image of the document you have taken.
    The following correction features are available in the mobile app.

    • Auto Correction
    • Filter Applied
    • Crop and Rotate
    • Removing Dirt

  6. Select the next action to perform after you finish adjusting the image.

    • If you tap "Next", the image of the document you took will be attached as a JPEG image file.
    • If you tap "Discard Scan", the image of the scanned document will be discarded and you will return to the "Edit Record" screen.

  7. If necessary, select whether to reduce the size of the photo.

  8. Tap Save to save the record.
